Makaton Level 3 and 4 focuses on developing signing and symbol skills and builds on the foundation of levels 1 and 2. You will learn translation and interpretation skills using signs and symbols. Much of the focus of these is to assess users’ needs, adapting communication to suit an individual’s needs and how to develop communication skills. Level 4 workshop builds on the skills that you will have acquired in Level 3 and goes into more depth when thinking about interpretation, translation and adapting your communication to keep things simple.
