Figure Out Your Child’s Learning Pattern

Is your child a visual learner? Or does she enjoy reading instead of watching videos and pointing at photos?

It is important that you figure out what works better for him or her. Children learn differently. While some prefer reading and writing, others prefer drawing, pointing at the pictures and learning by watching videos.

Some kids are also auditory learners and prefer to learn by listening to sounds, oral reports, spoken words, and so on.

Similarly, there are kids who learn better by exploring and creating things by themselves instead of watching or listening to others; kinesthetic learners. This set of kids are better taught using hands-on teaching techniques such as lab classes, field trips, skits, and so on. They do well in activities like drama, dance, martial arts, crafts, arts, and sports.

Adopt Healthy Lifestyle and Habits

Disabled or not, it is important that you teach your kids healthy lifestyle and habits. This becomes even more important when taking care of a child with a learning disability.

So ensure that the child always gets enough sleep, eats healthy, and exercises regularly. This will help him or her to be less stressed during learning and therapy sessions.

Encouraging the child to engage in physical exercises will also help him to gain mental clarity as well as keep them cheerful and happy.
